| Summary Overview: Director of Marketing (DM) is responsible for all marketing investments and personnel in support of the SSI portfolio of products, both marketed and in development. DM is responsible to develop and lead execution of the marketing plan for SSI. DM has responsibility for product management, sales and marketing operations, meeting planning, marketing communications, and customer service. DM works closely with several functional heads including sales, R&D, operations, and clinical affairs to both ensure strategy and resources are properly aligned and to provide direction and support where appropriate. DM also sits on and provides input into several internal leadership bodies, including: senior management and opportunity and commercialization teams. Responsibilities: •People management – direct investments and activities of personnel, provide coaching, mentoring, and support as needed, conduct performance reviews, create and lead implementation of personnel development plans. •Develop and lead execution of the global marketing plan, including a wide range of activities, but not limited to: peer to peer programs KOL identification and development society meeting planning and execution white paper development promotional material and advertising content development pricing strategy and account communication market research field travel and territory support sales training •Represent marketing on internal teams and provide input to executive management as requested. Requirements: Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Marketing, along with a minimum of 3 – 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the life sciences or related field. A strong understanding of basic principles of accounting, finance and operations management is desired. Experience in people management and developing and managing budgets is key. Candidate must be results oriented and have the ability to think and plan strategically and be able to prioritize and execute deliverables and tasks. | ||
