Synovis Surgical Innovations (SSI) was founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1985 and today is a worldwide leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of implantable biomaterials and surgical tools.
Over twenty years ago, SSI committed to using bovine pericardium as a tissue platform. Our first implantable biomaterial product, Peri-Guard®, was launched in 1982.
Combined with this tissue platform, our tissue technologies and certified manufacturing practices, continue to produce an impressive portfolio of innovative products.
Our latest, Veritas® Collagen Matrix, was launched in 2001 with expanded introduction for hernia repair in 2007.
